Remembering Bill Moyers, a UT Legend and National Treasure Moyers grew up in the East Texas town of Marshall and was "called to journalism" at 16, when he went to work for the Marshall News Messenger. He began college at North Texas State, where he met Judith Davidson, B.S. 1956, on his first day of class.
